The Lasik experts at North Shore Eye Care have vast experience performing refractive surgery  as they now enter their 25th year performing such procedures.  Since that time refractive surgery has gone through a steady evolution of improvements making it one of the most common elective operative procedures.  Initially only low to moderate levels of myopia were treatable using a surgical method known as radial keratotomy.  This once popular procedure has since been replaced with the advent of the excimer laser.  This laser which is known for its speed and precision treats much higher levels of myopia or near sightedness as well as astigmatism and far sighted conditions.

At North Shore Eye Care only the very latest techniques are utilized.  The surgeons, Dr. Lawrence Zweibel and Jeffrey Martin have been performing Lasik for well over a decade. Both are recognized in Castle Connelly's top Doctors.  They have recently been joined by Dr. John Mauro an expert in uveitis who is a fellowship trained lasik surgeon.  All Doctors are Board Certified Ophthalmologists who employ the newest I-lasik technique, which basically means that when you have your surgery it will be performed using all of the latest innovations used with this procedure.

At North Shore Eye Care we perform surgery on patients as far east as Riverhead and the Hamptons, including the Moriches, Cutchogue, Jamesport, Mattituck, Watermill, Patchogue, Flanders, Manorville, Calverton, Shoreham, Ridge, Coram, Stony Brook, Port Jefferson, Smithtown, Kings Park, Huntington, Northport, Dix Hills, Babylon, Ronkonkoma, Commack, Plainview, Melville, Hicksville, Jericho, Roslyn, Port Washington, Garden Cilty and many other areas in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, including New York City.
