Most patients at North Shore Eye Care have wonderful distance vision after their lens implant surgery.

DR. JEFFREY MARTIN: With standard implants, most patients are able to see wonderfully in the distance. You may still need reading glasses. With Toric intraocular implants for astigmatism, astigmatism is fully corrected. For those patients that have astigmatism, Toric intraocular implants are a wonderful option. The options for vision near and far have come a long way in the last few years. We have several options, such as Crystalens, ReZoom and ReSTOR that allow people to become relatively glasses independent. We have many patients that don't use glasses for any activities at all.
