DR. ZWEIBEL: PRK is a very similar procedure to LASIK. The indications for PRK and LASIK will be similar. People that want to see better without their glasses and contacts will be good candidates for PRK. However, some people that are not good candidates for LASIK, such as people with thin corneas or very high corrections can very well be a good candidate for PRK.
