Some patients have dry eye due to medications, menopause, or contact lens overwear. In these cases, we will treat dry eye prior to lasik. By optimizing the ocular surface, recovery is quicker and more comfortable. We make sure that you are not using soft contact lenses for two weeks before your final pre-operative examination to make sure that the corneal surface is normal.
