IntraLase®

Before your vision can be corrected in your LASIK procedure, one of the doctors at North Shore Eye Care must first create a flap in the cornea. This is one of the most critical steps in the LASIK procedure. Because IntraLase® is a bladeless system for creating the corneal flap, it lowers the risk of complications. Using the IntraLase® system, partially formed or uneven flaps are a thing of the past. Our doctors program the exact size, shape, and depth of the desired corneal flap into a computer software program. This guides the laser to precisely create the flap.

With the greater safety and predictability of IntraLase®, patients who were once not considered ideal candidates for LASIK, due to thin corneas or a previous laser vision surgery, may now undergo the procedure.
