On May 15, 2011 North Shore Eye Care completed their semiannual symposium to over a hundred eye doctors spanning areas from the tri-state area.

North Shore Eye Care's Symposium for Continuing Education for Optometrists was a successful turnout. Our ophthalmology practice in smithtown is proud to be able to offer continuing education to the optometric society.  Many praises were received about the event and the attendance continues to grow at our symposiums.

North Shore Eye Care is proud to announce that Dr. John Mauro has joined the practice as the newest member of its ophthalmic team to support its expansion and growing patient base. 

Dr. John Mauro is a Board-certified ophthalmologist who completed his fellowship training at Massachusetts Eye Research Surgery Institution in Cambridge and at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School
He is specialized in the treatment of ocular inflammatory diseases, cataract surgery, premium lens implant procedures and laser vision correction.  He obtained additional advanced training in bladeless, custom LASIK at the Boston Laser Eye Group. 

Lasik surgery which has been performed for nearly 20 years is being performed by the highly skilled surgeons at Norh Shore Eye Care in Smithtown, Long Island.  Offered are all the technological improvements known as I-Lasik.
