North Shore Eye Care is the place to go to meet all your eye needs.

Boasting the largest Lasik facility in Suffolk County, North Shore Eye Care leads the way in laser vision corrective surgery.  In addition to having the latest equipment such as the Intralase that enables us to perform blade free Lasik to insure your safety we are able to significantly improve your vision.  Most patients, in fact, feel their vision far exceeds the vision they previously had with their glasses or contacts.

Likewise we offer the latest techniques in cataract surgery. While older patients with very advanced cataracts may take somewhat longer to recover, performing sutureless, small incision surgery patients often see well the very next day.  Our Board Certified skilled surgeons who have been recognized in Castle Connelly’s Top Doctors in the New York Metro area are able to individualize for you the best intraocular lens implant that replaces your cataract.  Patients who had significant astigmatism all their lives are able to reduce or eliminate this problem at the time of cataract surgery by choosing from a wide array of toric intraocular lenses.  Likewise those patients who would like increased freedom from glasses can pick from either multifocal lenses or accommodative lenses that simultaneously offer both clear distant and near vision.

In addition to having specialists in laser vision and cataract surgery at North Shore Eye Care we also have specialists in audiology,  lid plastic surgery, ocular inflammations commonly known as uveitis, and glaucoma.  We are also proud to announce the arrival of Faye Knoll M.D. who is a corneal and external disease specialist.  Dr. Knoll is a graduate of SUNY Binghampton.  She majored in Biology and has the distinction of being elected into the Phi Beta Kappa Society graduating Summa Cum Laude.  Continuing with the SUNY system Dr. Knoll attended the Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY where she was elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and once again graduated Cum Laude.  Dr. Knoll completed her Ophthalmology residency training at the North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital in Manhasset,  Long Island where she served as Chief Resident.  In the interest of furthering her education Dr. Knoll completed a fellowship at the renowned New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in the East Village of New York City where she perfected her skills in corneal surgery and treating external diseases of the eye.  Active in research Dr. Knoll has presented papers at many national meetings.
