North Shore Eye Care, a leader in eye care on Long Island, is dedicated to teaching in an effort to provide the best eye care for the Long Island Community. North Shore Eye Care is sponsoring their semiannual Eye Care Symposium for Optometrists.
We have a great program with 6 hours of CE credit available for each optometrist. In this effort we will be hosting our 5th optometric symposium. At this symposium we expect the largest turnout yet with optometrists coming from as far as New Jersey. This program will begin Sunday at 8 a.m. offering 6 COPE credits to all attending optometrists. We expect this program to be very interesting as well as informative. Among our featured speakers are John Mauro, D.O., Jeffrey Martin, M.D., Paul Choinski, M.D., Brett Rosenblatt, M.D. and Jim Rienzo, practice consultant. One of the new treatments to benefit glaucoma patients who have difficulty taking their medications is the use of selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) . The use of this non-destructive laser will be discussed by Dr. Paul Choinsky. Cataract and lasik surgery is always an exciting topic. Dr. Jeffrey Martin will lead an exciting discussion on all the new developments in this field including our new state of the art lasik suite. The audience will also be given an opportunity to participate through our state of the art audience response system.
