North Shore Eye Care is a multispecialty eye care practice in Suffolk County Long Island with locations in Smithtown and Riverhead. It has been years since a LASIK center opened in Long Island and we are thrilled to deliver this new state of the art laser eye surgery center to our Long Island patients. Our LASIK Center will feature great decor and comfort. We are creating a spa-like environment to calm our patients during their life changing laser vision correction procedure. Our board certified LASIK specialists have many years of LASIK experience and we are the Official LASIK Providers of the New York Mets. We have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT on our LASIK procedure and we offer zero percent financing for two years to help our patients pay for the procedure. We offer the best technology with the caring and compassionate side to help our patients through LASIK and try our best to make it affordable for everyone.
LASIK TECHNOLOGY
So what equipment are we going to feature in the new LASIK suite. We have chosen the iLASIK platform that is all bladeless and custom. As the first part of LASIK, a thin flap is made in the superficial layers of the cornea. This is done with a bladeless laser called Intralase. Many eye doctors still use blade machines called microkeratomes... we don't. Then we use Wavescan that obtains a unique pattern of your visual system much like your fingerprint. This is what makes the laser vision correction unique to every patient. This information is digitally transferred to the VISX Star S4 IR laser for the laser eye surgery correction. As the laser is done, the machine automatically centers and tracks your eye movements and even uses iris registration for precision. This gives our eye surgeons comfort that the laser ablation will be in the correct place every time. Following LASIK, our patients return to the comfort of their home and begin post-operative eye drops that aid in healing and prevent infection. By the next day, almost every patient can drive to the office and see 20/20 that first visit.
Come in and find out what makes North Shore Eye Care such a unique and special eye care practice. Look out for our Grand Opening promotions.
