Leading Smithtown Eye Care Practice Opening in Riverhead New York

North Shore Eye Care, the leading eye care practice in Smithtown New York is opening a brand new state of the art eye care practice in Riverhead on the east end of Long Island.  Our board certified eye doctors are thrilled to have the opportunity to deliver the highest quality eye care in our new setting.  When visiting our new office, you will know immediately that we are offering something different than what has been experienced before.  Dr. Sonya Dhar, a glaucoma specialist will anchor the new office with skill and compassion.  Dr. Paul Choinski and Dr. Grace O'Malley, with over two decades of eye care experience on the east end of Long Island in Riverhead and Southampton will be in the office each week to help our patients with comprehensive eye care as well as cataract surgery, laser vision correction such as LASIK and PRK, as well as treating people with macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.  Also, Dr. Jeffrey Martin, the managing partner of North Shore Eye Care in Smithtown intends to spend regular time in the Riverhead office making sure that the North Shore Eye Care/Hampton Eye venture is as successful and all levels.  Dr. Martin has experience in practice management as pays special attention to quality of care and customer service/ patient experience.  Dr. Jeff Martin wants every patient in eastern Long Island to meet the eye doctors of North Shore Eye Care.  We provide cataract surgery without the need for needles around the eyes, stitches or even an eye patch following surgery. Our cataract patients return home the very same day.  We are experts at all of the premium intraocular lens implants currently available in the United States.  We routinely use the Acrysof Toric, Crystalens, Restor and Tecnis Multifocal, all designed to reduce the need for glasses and contact lenses for our patients. 

In about one month, North Shore Eye Care is opening a new LASIK center in their Smithtown location.  This will be the first laser center opened in about 10 years in Suffolk County. The center will be state of the art and will allow our patients from Riverhead and Smithtown to have the best in LASIK, bladeless custom lasik, right here in Suffolk County.  As a matter of fact, our mission is to bring the best in eye care to you so that you do not have to travel long distances to get the best.  We are also thrilled that Dr. Dhar, glaucoma trained by Dr. Alan Crandall in Salt Lake City, decided to work with our world class team of eye care professionals.  For patients with glaucoma, it will give them a chance to be managed by an excellent glaucoma specialist.
