North Shore eye care welcomes Dr. Sonya Dhar, glaucoma specialist, to our team of eye experts

North Shore eye care is thrilled to welcome Dr. Sonya Dhar to our team of expert ophthalmologists.  Our board certified eye doctors are happy to have a glaucoma specialist in their practice to serve their patients from smithtown to riverhead.  Dr. Dhar is an expert in glaucoma care.  She completed a fellowship in glaucoma with Dr. Alan Crandall, a world leader in the care of glaucoma.  Dr. Dhar joins our team of cataract surgery and lasik laser vision correction experts in our smithtown and soon to open riverhead location.  Sonya Dhar, M.D. will be seeing general eye care and glaucoma patients in riverhead and smithtown and looks forward to helping glaucoma patients in our community achieve the very best results possible.  This is a nice addition to Dr. Sidney Martin, Dr. Larry Zweibel, Dr. Jeff Martin, and Dr. John Mauro.  They currently specialize in cataract surgery and laser eye surgery and Dr. Mauro also specializes in uveitis and intraocular inflammation.  Our state of the art smithtown office has the best in diagnostic equipment and we are currently constructing a new state of the art lasik and laser vision correction center.  We are also planning to open a large eye care facility in riverhead to care for patients in riverhead, ridge, shoreham, manorville, moriches, and the north and south forks of long island including the hamptons.  To be able to attract an ophthalmologist of Dr. Dhar's quality and compassion is truly unique and we think that our patients will embrace her.
