North Shore Eye Care Symposium conducted yesterday at the Huntington Hilton in New York

Over one hundred optometrists attended the symposium despite poor weather condiitons. Dr. Sidney Martin was the starting master of ceremony. North Shore eye care has now become the Official eye care provider of the new york islanders and the official lasik provider of the new york mets.  Well known cataract surgeon, Dr. Jeffrey Martin discussed clinical case studies.   Dr. John Mauro discussed ocular toxicities caused by prescription and over the counter medications.  Dr. Jeff Augustine came all the way from Ohio to discuss the latest trends in lasik and prk.  Dr.  Wisnicki discussed diplopia after cataract surgery. Well known speaker, Jim Rienzo discussed business aspects in the optometric practice and Dr. Mark Rivellese discussed current concepts in the management of vitreous hemmorhage and common retinal disorders.  As part of a new trend, the symposia from now on will include audience response systems which allow participation of the audience.   We are also pleased to announce that  our next symposium will be held on  Sunday, January 8th 2012.
