North Shore Eye Care to host Lasik seminar this Tues. evening

Lasik, which has become a routine procedure for people wishing independence from both spectacles and contact lenses has been performed in this country for close to two decades.  Patient satisfaction has been very high with over 700,000 procedures performed last year alone.  To help keep our patient's well informed about this exciting procedure Dr. Mauro, a lasik trained Ophthalmologists from Boston Mass.  will be discussing the latest developments that have occurred with lasik surgery over the past decade.

New developments that have made lasik surgery so effective and popular with the public include the intralase which has made no blade lasik surgery possible.  Customvue is another great advancement that has made vision better than ever.  Using space age technology sophisticated aberrometers are used to measure light waves that exit from the eye. Yielding 25 times more information than can be gleaned from an ordinary glass prescription patients are able to achieve unprecedented vision often seeing better than 20/20.
