Cataract Surgery at North Shore Eye Care, a step above the rest

April 14, 2011 @ 10:27 AM — by John Mauro

Vision following cataract surgery has has taken leaps and bounds in large part to the new intraocular lenses that are now available.   Multifocal lenses offer excellent near, intermediate and distance vision without glasses, with some patients needing to adjust to the lens called neuro-adaptation. The Crystalens by Bausch and Lomb is the accommodative lens available on the market.  It offers both distance vision and intermediate with good near vision without correction, sometimes requiring reading glasses only for very small print and detail.  Since there are many choices when considering cataract surgery it is important that you have a discussion with a board certified cataract specialist.  At North Shore Eye Care we have over 40 years experience in cataract surgery and in addition   all of our surgeons are board certified Ophthalmologists.
