North Shore eye care has been a leader in cataract surgery for many years.  Our three board certified cataract surgeons, Dr. Jeff Martin, Dr. John Mauro and Dr. Larry Zweibel are ready to assist you on your quest for improved vision.  Christine Pavese, supervising surgical coordinator has her team of surgical staff ready to help you through the scheduling of your procedure here on long island new york in smithtown.  From the moment you arrive at North Shore eye care, our experienced and caring staff begins the process of a cataract surgery work up.  You will then meet with one of our board certified eye doctors to discuss the cataract surgery procedure and your options when it comes to intraocular lens implants.  When a cataract or cloudy defective lens of your eye is removed, we place a new implant in your eye to restore your vision.  This implant can be a premium implant that is accommodating or multifocal so that you can see far and near with reduced need or eliminating your need for glasses.  This technology has been amazing in the field of eye care in the last ten years.

When a patient chooses a premium implant, our eye surgeons stay with the case until our patient is happy.  This includes enhancements at no charge if necessary using bladeless custom lasik.  This also includes offering zero percent financing for two years for those that would like to spread out the payment for this advanced technology over time.
