Patients have a choice in cataract surgery.  At North Shore eye care in smithtown new york in long island, our three board certified eye surgeons use the latest and greatest technology and techniques to give you the best chance at great vision for life.  Our cataract surgery is performed through a microscopic incision using eye drops for anesthesia along with IV sedation.  Cataract surgery takes a few minutes at our eye care facility and you return to the comfort of your home the very same day.  There are no injections around the eyes, no stitches and no eye patch in most cases.  Patients are able to see right away and are able to start their important post-operative drops the very same day.
