After our doctors remove the cloudy or cataract lens from the eye, a new intraocular lens implant or IOL is placed in the eye. This new implant can be of the standard variety providing good distance vision only or can be a premium implant that offers far and near vision. The premium lenses allow for far and near vision without glasses by either moving in the eye or by the use of rings in the implant itself that alternate near and far.
