Ocular Inflammation and Uveitis at North Shore Eye Care

Uveitis can occur because of infection, autoimmune disorders (which causes the body to attack its own tissues), or for unknown reasons.  Uveitis is inflammation anywhere in lining of the eye, known as the uvea, or uveal tract. An eye physician makes the diagnosis and treatment based on the symptoms and a complete physical examination.

Many patients at North Shore eye care in smithtown new york in long island ask about possible eyelid surgery following cataract surgery.  It seems that cataract surgery helps these patients to see better and then they want to look better.  Our cataract patients often say, what happened to my face?  We reassure them and tell them about ptosis surgery and blepharoplasty.
