North Shore Eye Care to begin cataract seminars in July
Many patients who are gradually losing their vision are told they need cataract surgery. For some people this can be frightening since they know so little about what cataracts are and how they can be treated. For this reason the surgeons at North Shore Eye Care will be offering monthly seminars to better inform the public. Topics to be discussed will involve a brief dissertation on the anatomy of the eye explaining where cataracts form, what to expect on the day of surgery as well as preparation for surgery, how the surgery is performed and lens implant choices that are used to replace the cataract.
The surgeons at North Shore Eye Care have had greater than 30 years experience with cataract surgery. Dr. Lawrence Zweibel is director of Ophthalmology at St Catherines of Sienna in Smithtown, Dr. Jeff Martin is an assistant clinical professor at Stony Brook University, and Dr. John Mauro is an instructor at New York Eye and Ear.
At North Shore Eye Care we serve patients from as far East on Long Island as the Hamptons, Riverhead, Cuthchogue, Mattituck, Eastport, the Moriches, Centerport, Manorville, Shirley, Patchogue, Stony Brook, Coram, Shirley, Centereach, Smithtown, Port Jefferson, Hauppauge, Dix Hills, Plainview, Melville, Huntington, Garden City, Rockville Center, Port Washington, Great Neck, Roslyn, and many other areas in Nassau and Suffolk Counties including New York City.
