Do cataracts come back... ask the cataract specialists at North Shore eye care

Posted on Jun 23 2010 by unknown

Many of our long island new york patients come to our smithtown eye care office and ask if cataracts ever come back.  They are concerned and only want to go through the cataract procedure once. Our board certified eye doctors, Dr. John Mauro, Dr. Jeff Martin, and Dr. larry zweibel are happy to answer all of your questions in regard to cataract formation and cataract treatment.  Our eye doctors specialize in advanced cataract surgery including cataract surgery through a small incision without the need for needles around the eyes, stitches, or even an eye patch.  The average cataract surgery takes a few minutes and our patients return home a short time after the completion of cataract surgery.

For those patients that would desire vision for far and near without the need for glasses or contact lenses, we offer premium implants or IOLs that are designed to reduce the need for glasses and contact lenses.  These implants are called Crystalens, Restor, Rezoom, and Tecnis Multifocal and depending on your eye, our cataract surgeons help you to find the appropriate implant for you.  For those patients that would like to have the upgraded lens, but pay it over time, we offer zero percent financing for two years.

In long island new york in suffolk and nassau counties, we see patients from smithtown, nesconset, saint james, kings park, centereach, selden, coram, middle island, ridge, riverhead, rocky point, mt sinai, miller place, stony brook, setauket port jefferson, shoreham, wading river, patchogue, medford, yaphank, brookhaven, bellport, bayport, shirley, mastic, moriches, calverton, manorville, eastport, hampton bays, quogue, east hampton, southampton, sag harbor, westhampton, amagansett, montauk, jamesport, cutchogue, mattituck, southold, greenport, and many other towns.
