When lasek is the better laser vision correction... ask the experts at North Shore Eye Care

North Shore eye care is a leader in laser vision correction.  Our board certified eye doctors perform the best in eye care and laser eye surgery.  In lasik, we perform only bladeless custom lasik or ilasik.  In ilasik we make a flap in the superficial layers of the cornea using Intralase.  Intralase is the safest and most precise way to make  a flap in lasik.  We then do laser eye surgery with customvue by visx for a truly custom laser vision correction experience.  The laser automatically tracks the eye movements and centers as well as uses iris registration for the most precise and safest laser eye surgery procedure.

In patients with thin corneas, irregular corneas, high prescriptions or dry eyes, sometimes lasek is best.  In lasek, the thin layer of epithelium or skin of the eye is peeled back and the laser correction is performed on the surface of the stroma or middle part of the cornea.  Lasek is quick and safe and conserves corneal tissue which is important in these clinical situations.

In long island new york in suffolk and nassau counties, we see patients from smithtown, nesconset, saint james, kings park, dix hills, melville, deer park, greenlawn, centerport, cold spring harbor, huntington, commack, northport, sayville, lindenhurst, bay shore, babylon, massapequa, wantagh, plainview, woodbury, syosset, bethpage, roslyn, great neck, manhasset, glen cove, garden city, mineola, east meadow, levittown, hicksville, rockville center, new york city, manhattan, queens, brooklyn, farmingdale, westbury, port washington, copiague, amityville, and many other towns such as oyster bay.
