Lasik in patients with after cataract surgery

At North Shore Eye Care in smithtown new york in long island, our board certified eye doctors specialize in cataract surgery and lasik laser eye surgery.  Doing both cataract surgery and lasik makes our practice a more complete choice.  When we do cataract surgery on our long island patients, there can be a residual prescription.   This can be especially important with our premium lens practice.  When our patients use Crystalens, there is little room for error due to the fact that this sensitive lens system needs to be perfect.  In patients that do not have that perfect target, we can simply do laser eye surgery to enhance the result.  This marriage of cataract surgery and lasik bladeless custom laser eye surgery has helped us to become leaders in the field.

Our lasik is all ilasik.  Ilasik uses Intralase to make a thin and accurate flap.  This is followed by Customvue lasik by Visx using a wavescan to get a fingerprint of your unique vision.  This laser vision correction ablation automatically centers and tracks and also uses iris registration for the best possible result.

In long island new york in suffolk and nassau counties, we see patients from cold spring harbor, huntington, northport, commack, centerport, greenlawn, dix hills, melville, plainview, bethpage, syoseet, woodbury, bayshore, babylon, massapequa, lindenhurst, merrick, wantagh, rockville, center, garden city, mineola, hicksville, levittown, roslyn, glen cove, manhasset, east meadow, great neck, new york city, manhattan, queens, bronx, brooklyn, and many other towns.
