Cataract surgery in patients with macular degeneration

In our Long Island eye care practice, our board certified cataract surgeons see many patients with both macular degeneration and cataracts. Cataract surgery in patients with macular degeneration is routine, but our Smithtown New York patients must know that their outcome may be limited by the ability of the retina.
