Is it time for you to think about LASIK surgery. Here at North Shore Eye Care, we offer free consultations to see if you are a LASIK candidate. Not every one can have laser corrective surgery. There are many diagnostic tests that need to be done in order to make this decision. This includes but is not limited to: assessing pupil size, cornea thickness, cornea’s shape (topography), the health of the cornea, checking for dry eyes, patient’s prescription and age and the overall health of the eye. Laser refractive surgery has become so advanced in the last ten years and has had tremendous results. One of the reasons why we are so successful here at North Shore Eye Care is because we are very meticulous with our testing and strive to provide the most accurate results for our patients.

When it comes to laser eye surgery, our board certified eye surgeons (Dr. Larry Zweibel, Dr.Jeffrey Martin and Dr. John Mauro) perform only Custom Bladeless Lasik. A thin flap using the Intralase laser is made in the superficial layer of the cornea. There are no blades used for the entire procedure. We also use Visx Customvue wavescan for a truly customized laser vision correction experience. We also use iris registration which allows the laser to align exactly with anatomic landmarks of each person's individual iris. There combination provide the most advanced LASIK vision correction procedure available. We offer 0 % financing for 2 years. This financing allows our patients to afford the procedure and pay over time without high interest rates.

Patients come from all over Long Island New York including Nassau and Suffolk county. We see patients from Smithtown, Nesconset, St. James, Kings Park, Fort Salonga, Huntington, Commack, Northport, Centerport, Dix Hills, Melville, Deer Park, Babylon, Bay Shore, Plainview, Woodbury, Syosset, Bethpage, Cold Spring Harbor, Islip, Islandia, Holbrook, Holtsville, Farmingdale, Farmingville, Ronkonkoma, bohemia, Centereach, Selden, Coram, Stony Brook, Port Jefferson, Shoreham, Wading River, Miller Place, Mount Sinai, Rocky point, Riverhead, Ridge, Middle Island, Manorville, Brookhaven, Mastic Beach, Moriches, Medford, Yaphank, Patchogue, Calverton, Eastport, Westhampton and many other areas of long island.

When I went for Lasik consultations I think its about arnehwye from 2000 to 4000 per eye. And I'm pretty sure insurance does not cover it anyway as its considered cosmetic. If its a matter of price or precision, I would go for the better recommended/reviewed doctor even if they cost more than franchise style dr's (lasik plus, tlc laser center) etc. Its your vision- dont mess around with it- find a good dr. go on at least 4 consultations and then make your decision.
