North Shore Eye Care was founded by Dr. Sidney Martin in 1962 in Smithtown New York in Long Island.  As a board certified eye doctor and eye surgeon, he opened his eye care practice to care for patients with cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetes and diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, dry eye, and lid problems.  He built the practice based on the principles of commitment to excellence in eye care and eye surgery.  Today, North Shore Eye Care is located in Suffolk County of Long Island and includes three more board certified cataract and lasik surgeons, Dr. Jeffrey Martin, Dr. Larry Zweibel, and Dr. John Mauro.  All of our eye doctors are committed to the very best in cataract surgery and lasik laser eye surgery.  Dr. Martin and Dr. Zweibel have been voted as Top Doctors in the New York Metro Area by Castle Connolly ltd and North Shore Eye Care has been deemed a Crystalens National Center of Excellence by Bausch and Lomb.   The cost of cataract surg
